چکیده

In hilly places, constructing and building forest roads requires a variety of economic environmental criteria. To develop solution that minimize construction, maintenance, adverse effects, road management must take into account as many alternative alignment options they can. The idea this research was to plan the network in Periyar Tiger Reserve's mountainous region using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) based on Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA). These techniques were applied study area's slope, aspect, Elevation, NDVI, drainage susceptibility landslides datasets. addition, created GIS-MCDA approach contrasted with existing networks. key elements affect area found, necessary maps produced categorized. graded MCDA determine weight both useful aspects next step determining significance role aforementioned cost building. Second, Arc GIS 10.4 weighted overlay analysis tool, potential map for by overlaying influencing elements. Thirdly, competence divided Six categories: very high, moderate, low, low Restricted roading Suitability. Finally, method combine planning map, analyzed. findings indicated majority located high moderate A small percentage Suitability, which can be taken alignment. results suggested design areas more precisely accomplished multi-criteria evaluation method. Similar used other forested sites.
